EPODEX - PU resin Topcoat Glossy
The PU resin (component A) is mixed with the PU hardener (component B). Both components together form the polyurethane resin system.
Application instructions
- The substrate must be sound, clean, dry and free from substances that reduce adhesion. We recommend sanding the substrate for better adhesion.
- Mix the resin component A and the hardener component B in the mixing ratio 2:1 (e.g. 1kg resin component A with 0,5kg hardener component B).
- Also stir the rim and bottom of the mixing cup well, as material settles there. Ideally pour into a clean cup and mix again until the mixture is streak-free. This ensures that both components are fully mixed together.
- Pour the mixture into a paint tray and apply it thinly with a roller in a criss-cross motion.
- Allow the first coat to cure and then apply the second coat in the same way. We recommend applying the second coat no earlier than 6h and no later than 20h.
- Do not wear shoes with rubber soles during sanding, cleaning, after cleaning or when applying the 2K PU topcoat, as rubber microparticles can cause an uneven finish. Shoes with rubber soles may be worn once the second coat is fully cured. Wait to apply the second coat until the first is walkable (approx. 12 hours).
